Performance "Flow" in the middle of the cultural year
At half time, Chris Baldwin organizes a big performance focused on the Odra River, the life-giving backbone of the city. It represents the story of the radical transition the city went through in the 20th century and especially the attempt to displace the city’s population after World War II. Parks, bridges, and shorelines along the river are transformed into scenes for many individual actions. For example, visitors can write down their wishes for the future on Słodowa Island and place them in a rocket. The highlight will be the concert of an orchestra of Czech, German, Polish, and Israeli musicians on Cathedral Island. Works from artists from all four countries are presented.
